Look for the carrot filled barrel up on the rocks between the two covered wagons, and knock it over. Use the pieces that fall out of it, along with the pieces in the wagon on the right, to build a hook onto the wagon blocking the way. Use Batman's grapple to pull the wagon down.
Now that the wagon is out of the way, the road is blocked by sleep-inducing poppies. Get into the Batmobile and plow them down.
Move a little ways down the road to launch a cut-scene encounter with Dorothy and her gang. The encounter ends, as most everything in this game does, with the travelers getting sucked through a vortex.
Before moving on, run the Batmobile all around the fields on either side of the Yellow Brick Road, which are chock-full of studs that will be needed to achieve "Rule Breaker" status in this level.
Once the fields have been thoroughly plowed for studs, head farther down the road to launch another cut-scene, and begin the battle with the Wicked Witch, who will encircle the heroes with fire and send her Winged Monkeys after them.
Avoid the Wicked Witches blasts until she traps the heroes in some sort of magic ray. When this happens, move the minifigure of the active character to another section of the Toy Pad. After the characters are freed, use Gandalf's staff or Batman's batarang to target the witch and zap her. Once she's on the ground, spar with her until she flies off again, then bust up the Winged Monkeys she sends down.
This process repeats until the Wicked Witch has been zapped for the third time, and a cut scene launches.
EditThe Road Through the Forest
The heroes now find themselves in a dark forest. Be sure to take advantage of the progress-saving terminal here, then ease on down the road.
Take the left turn and zap the large tree blocking the road, which will not make him happy. Deal with the winged monkeys that show up, two of whom will drop LEGO pieces. Build the LEGO pieces into a giant saw, then use Gandalf to position the saw over the outline in the air. It can be a bit tricky to get it in just the right place, but keep at it, and eventually it will click in and convince the tree to make like a tree and get out of the way.
Unfortunately some nasty vines pop up in the tree's place. Hop into the Batmobile to get over them.
Approach the next blockade of rubble and vines, and for some reason the vines will suspend a skeleton and two LEGO pieces in the air. Use Gandalf's staff to target all three items and bring them down.
Next, destroy the crate sitting against the rocks on the right side. The crate will dump out some pieces.
Switch to Wyldstyle and move her to the right section of the Toy Pad to use the Relic Scanner to reveal a crate up on the rocks to the left of the blockage. Use Batman's grapple hook to pull the crate down and dump out some more pieces.
With all the pieces down now, build a ramp for the Batmobile and drive on over. Drive across the bridge and up over the next ramp.
Follow the up and around to the guarded entrance to the Witch's Castle. Take out the guards and head past the drawbridge to some crates on the far left side. Destroy two crates and rack of lances, then build the leftover pieces into an accelerator switch. Drive the Batmobile up onto the switch and accelerate until the drawbridge lowers.
With the drawbridge down, switch to Wyldstyle and move her Minifigure to the left section of the Toy Pad to active her Relic Scanner and reveal a switch on the door. Switch to Batman and use his batarang to target the switch and open the door.
EditThe Winged Monkeys
Once inside the Witch's Castle, bust up the guards then take advantage of the game save terminal. Head up the stairs where a winged monkey will set a fire that collapses the platform, but also pulls down some pieces that can be built into part of a wall jump area for Wyldstyle. Punish the monkey then switch to Wyldstyle.
Move the Wyldstyle minifigure to the center circle on the Toy Pad to active the Relic Scanner and reveal a grapple hook on a chest under the stairs. Switch to Batman and use his grapple to pull apart the chest, revealing the rest of the wall jump pieces. Build the wall jump, bust up the planks blocking the wall jump chute, then have Wyldstyle jump up it to the area above.
In the area above, have Wyldstyle hit the large brown contraption to lower a rope that Gandalf and Batman will need to climb to get above. Switch to each character and have them climb up top.
Use Gandalf's staff in front of the door to activate the three buttons just overhead and get the door open. Head through the door. After a cut-scene, it's boss battle time.
EditBoss Battle: The Wicked Witch
The goal here is to build cages to block each of the portals the witch is transporting through.
To block the yellow portal, look for the stack of cages on the front right side of the room, and destroy the objects in front of them. Use the pieces left on the ground to build a hook onto the cages, then use Batman's grapple to pull the cages down. The winged monkey inside will try to fly off, but will eventually crash to the ground. Rebuild the cage and it will move up in front of the portal.
With the first cage in place, enemies will appear. Fight them off, but eventually the witch will get the heroes in her magic chains. Move the active character's minifigure to a different location on the Toy Pad to break free.
To build the blue portal cage, have Wyldstyle stand on the glowing circle in front of a lever on the left front side of the room, and jump up to grab the lever and pull it down, rotating a case out of the wall. Destroy the cage jutting out from the case, then rebuild it - it will move up to block the portal.
To build the purple portal cage, bring Gandalf to the glowing object at the very back of the room at the windows. Have him levitate the object then bring it crashing down. Rebuild the pieces into a switch for Batman to activate. Aim the batarang at the switch and release. The switch will bring the chandelier crashing down. Rebuild the chandelier into the final cage, blocking the final portal.
Wait for the witch to attempt to use one of the portals. This may take a minute, and the witch may trap the heroes in her magical chains in the meantime. If that happens, move the active character's minifigure to a different section of the Toy Pad. Eventually she will fly into the portals, imprisoning herself in a cage, which will crash down, destroying the magic field below.
Build the pieces around the center into a water cannon, and have a seat in it. Aim at the Wicked Witch, and watch her melt.
After a cut-scene and a trip back to the Gateway Portal, it's off to Springfield for Meltdown at Sector 7-G.
