Darren Goode is a senior energy & environment reporter for POLITICO Pro. He brings more than a decade of experience reporting on energy and environmental issues. This includes covering energy, environment and transportation policy for six years at CongressDaily and being the sole representative for National Journal at the 2010 United Nations climate change talks in Copenhagen. He also reported and blogged on the energy and environmental debate for The Hill and was a reporter and editor at Inside Washington Publishers.
Goode graduated from the University of Georgia with a degree in journalism after a mostly blissful childhood in Connecticut, where he earned his first paycheck as a reporter covering local high school sports. He lives in Northwest Washington with his wife, Walky, and has picked up a Spanish phrase or two on his frequent travels to her homeland of Ecuador.
