Funko Pop will be releasing their first Pokemon figure, Pikachu, this July as a Target exclusive.
Announced in a Tweet and accompanying blog post, Funko revealed the first look at the "iconic Electric-type Pokemon."
Funko was founded in 1998 as a bobblehead company, and this marks the first time in the company's history that they have acquired the rights to produce Pokemon Funko Pops.
This Pikachu Pop! was leaked earlier this week by a Reddit user who found the figure at a Target in Ohio, well before if should have been sold to the public.
With the launch of Pokemon: Let's Go, Pikachu! and Let's Go, Eevee! happening later this year on November 16, this announcement may indicate the production of other Pokemon Funko in the future, although nothing more has been announced at this time.
Funko has been busy lately, especially with their E3 2018 announcement of Gears Pop, a mobile game that combines the Gears of War with Funko Pops.
