8 Budget-Friendly Opalhouse Buys We Would Have Sworn Were from Anthropologie
Ah, Target: What would we do without you? It’s no secret that Target is the perfect one-stop shop for everything from home goods to clothes to groceries. After all, it feels physically impossible to purchase only one thing when you’re roaming those red and white aisles — especially when you’re looking at the store’s special in-house brands.
Take Opalhouse, for example. This signature brands sells gorgeous (and affordable) dinnerware and cookware splashed with colorful prints, animal motifs, and the occasional fringe detailing.
Hey, doesn’t that sound a lot like Anthropologie?
Let’s get one thing clear: We don’t think Opalhouse is ripping off Anthropologie. However, some of its pieces perfectly capture that fashion-forward, bohemian aesthetic Anthropologie is known for. In fact, we’re positive we would assume some of the brand’s pieces were from Anthropologie if we saw ‘em on our friend’s kitchen counter. But in reality? They only cost a fraction of the price. Um, yes please.
Want to get that shabby-chic look on a budget for your kitchen? Here are eight Opalhouse finds that really, really look like they’re from Anthropologie.
1.Opalhouse 28″x18″ Medallion Kitchen Towel, $3
Dish towels are a great way to add some personality to your kitchen without making a huge commitment. Made of 100 percent cotton, these printed towels feature a sweet fringe trim that serves up some serious Anthro vibes. And at $3, you can buy a few (plus some others) and switch them up, based on your mood (and what’s just come out of the laundry).
2. Opalhouse 16-ounce Monogrammed Porcelain Floral Mug, $6
We have a soft spot for all things monogrammed — and this adorable mug is no exception. Not only is Opalhouse’s version microwave- and dishwasher-safe, but it is also ridiculously affordable — making it the perfect present for a coworker or bridesmaid. Or get one for yourself! Sure, there’s a chance you already own a monogrammed mug, but the slim gold handle and floral design will add a fun flair to your mornings.
3. Opalhouse 16-ounce Plastic Floral Embossed Short Tumbler Green, $2
Put your boring, plain tumblers on notice and pick up a set of these fun glasses from Opalhouse. We’ll admit that colored glasses run the risk of looking cheesy, but this embossed style looks downright regal.
4. Opalhouse Melamine Dip Bowls Pink, $2.50 for four
This is the time of year when melamine dishes are in abundance. And while there are lots of options, very few are as stylish as this set of dip bowls, right? Use them now for condiments on your outdoor table. And because they’re just that cute, we’re guessing you’ll find a way to put them to use on your indoor dining table once the weather turns again.

We can’t back it up with science just yet, but we’re convinced that having beautiful bakeware makes your cookies, cakes, and brownies taste a lot better. So here you go! Whether it’s cooking in the oven, cooling on your stovetop, or sitting on a shelf, it’s bound to receive a lot of compliments.

8. Opalhouse Carved Wood Accent Table Lamp, $38
Okay, a table lamp might not be the first thing you’d think to add to your kitchen counter, but it gives your space a cozy vibe — and it’ll help you see what you’re doing! While Opalhouse has plenty of cute lamps to choose from, we’re smitten with this wooden one. The carved base offers a rustic flair, while the gray lampshade will mask the occasional olive oil splatter better than a pristine white one.
